I'm so sorry for you guys to be so hot down there! Please, please, please remember to drink liquids ALL DAY LONG! We had problems with the heat here, too, at church. Please pray for Gordon Nelson, who passed out during service this morning. He is recovering from a severe stroke, and the heat in the sanctuary did NOT help in his current weakness! And please give thanks to God for wonderful people who jumped up and came to his rescue, from Jim Stromberg, George Hoghaug, and Carol Droegemueller to Lucas Judd and Pete Stone. He was finally able to sit up (thank the Lord) and go to the ambulance in a wheelchair, where they took him to North Memorial just to be safe.
We tried to go on with our service after that, and we did. The manifestation of love grows in our own church as well as in rural Iowa. Thanks be to God. Please take care of yourselves, all of you! We love you!

Thank you for an illustrious description of your second day! Keep up the good and gracious work and know that we are all thinking about you and sending blessings your way! We don't think of ourselves as "different" when we travel away from home, especially in the U.S., do we? I didn't realize this until we took the mission trip to Texas and ate at a Southern restaurant - oh the looks we received! It's great to know, though, that we're not different in that we all need each other in some way or other.
Sounds as if the park will be bright and beautiful and spruced up in no time! And here's hoping that there will be more paint on the buildings and playground equipment than the girls!!! The red house in C.R. never knew what hit it!

Love to you all; please keep Molly away from sharp objects!

I remember hearing once that the gap between urban/suburban and rural is one of the greatest problems in our state government in MN. Maybe our youth will be able to surmount it so we function better as a state! You rock!
