The group before leaving. Note who’s missing because I’m, er, THEY’RE late…

What a good looking group! And what a large group! A good-looking, large group! A good-looking, large group of normal-sized people!
Hi Wifee & Julia
Sounds like the weather is great in sunny corn filling Iowa!
Nice here as well. A great weekend for a baseball tournament. Lukas started Thursday and pitched 2 innings, one hit, no runs and one strike-out. Excelsior Legion won 14-5. Haven’t been hitting well in the tournament so they lost Friday 5-1 and 3-1. Yesterday they lost again 3-1 and last night they won 3-0. Andrew Weber pitched a great game for the Fire Club. They have one more game tonight and Lukas will likely get some pitching time again. We had the team over for burgers and brat’s and a bonfire last night after the game. Mark Williams on the grill, and Chuck and Colleen Weber on KP, all around great helpers. The coaches said the team really needed a little down time after their busy schedule the last 2-3 weeks.
Between games, Lukas and I are making progress painting the pieces to the chairs and varnishing the closet shelves. Julia, sounds like you should be here helping now that you know all about the use of a paint brush! Don’t forget to splatter a little paint on the walls! Buy the way, I finally had soft and hot water for my shower yesterday morning! I hope you are leaving a hot water for the rest of the team down there! A trailer shower sounds cool!
We miss you both!! We are getting tired of eating beans but we will leave some for you since the team determined that beans weren’t their fave either. Oh boy did I make a big pot this time!! Enjoy the rest of the trip, work hard, enjoy time with friends and return with a smile to reflect all that you have learned and the good that you are bringing to a few folks in neighboring Iowa!
Lukas and I will have lunch with sister Madonna and Erica Monday and then I am off to the west coast. See you in a week! Enjoy Sioux Falls next weekend! Nathan and I will share three days of bonding time down on the farm.
Hugs from Lukas and The Husband
